Big Cottonwood Canyon is one of many popular canyons along the Wasatch Front east of the Salt Lake Valley. It’s home to two major ski resorts; Solitude and Brighton, along with a lot of hiking trails and campsites. It’s an outdoor playground for camping, hiking, skiing, mountain biking, fishing, and exploring.

Driving Directions

From I-15 in any direction, exit onto I-215 east. Head east on I-215 and take exit 6 to UT-190 toward 3000 E. Keep left and follow signs to 6200 South E. Turn right onto UT-190/6200 S/Wasatch Blvd. Then turn left onto Big Cottonwood Canyon Road and remain on that road until you reach your desired trailhead.
