Starved Rock State Park is a beautiful site featuring a number of canyons along the Illinois River.

The park is pet friendly (leashed) and contains paved, boardwalk, and dirt trails.

Many activities are available – fishing, boating, hiking, biking, horseback riding. The park is popular for bald eagle sightings in January and February as the birds hunt in the moving water by the dam.

Visitor’s center contains nature and wildlife information and details about the historic battle the park is named after.

Overnight visitors can camps or stay at the lodge.
