Chilnualna Falls Trail
About This Trail
This strenuous 8.2 mile loop takes you along cascading Chilnualna Creek to a series of falls, comprised of five large cascades sliding through and over rock formations about the Wawona Basin.
The trail leads from the bottom of the parking area and along cascading Chilnualna Creek for a half-mile. A series of switchbacks then lead away from the creek into the open forest, where you’ll get views of the Wawona area.
The water is fullest in the spring and early summer. Carry plenty of water with you in the summer when the temperatures are extreme.

Hike it Baby Trail Guide is managed by the Family Trail Guide team. If a trail has been “abandoned” by the initial owner, it gets adopted by the team. Also, if there are no trails in the area, the Family Trail Guide team researches trails that are family friendly in the area to insure that hikes cover all areas where Hike it Baby hikes.
