Fountain Creek Nature Center
About This Trail
Fountain Creek Nature Center is open all year round and has water fountains and indoor restrooms. There are a variety of exhibits within the center, and allows kids to learn and explore. The nature trail begins with a gradual downhill to a bridge that crosses a pond. Here you can see ducks, geese, and turtles. While you continue along the trail there are educational plaques to learn about the area. There is a large cottonwood tree that offers shade and is a great snack spot. The trail continues along the creek, which provides shade. Be careful of the fast moving water. It is a loop trail with other connecting trails, so you can make your hike longer if desired. This trail is all-terrain stroller friendly. There is a lot of wildlife to see along the trail.

About The Guide
Hike it Baby Family Trail Guide is an online resource to help families with children source trails that little legs can hike and parents can feel comfortable with. Hike details are sourced and have been hiked by families who participate in our community. Our contributors do their best to give you all the details they can, but if something is missed, you can reach out to the contributor and offer suggestions for them to add to make it a better trail description for all. This guide was built with a generous 3-year partnership with L.L Bean. Like Hike it Baby, L.L Bean believes that helping get families into nature from birth on is key to healthier, happier communities.
