About This Trail

[Total: 0    Average: 0/5]

This trail is a 4.6 mile loop.  The trail provides views of open fields and wildflowers during the summertime. It is all-terrain stroller friendly, but there are some sandy areas on the trail where it can be a little difficult to push through.  This is a great carrier hike if you want to complete the entire hike.  Feel free to do an out-and-back stroller or toddler led hike.   The area is popular for horseback riding, so be aware of this.  During the winter months the trail can be snow packed, so spikes or snowshoes is recommended.  The trail will be more crowded during the weekends.  It is best to hike this trail during the summer and fall months.

I became a branch ambassador for the Colorado Springs branch in February 2017.  I became active with Hike it Baby in April 2016 and fell in love with carrier hikes.  I currently host and enjoy toddler led and stroller hikes.

About The Guide

Hike it Baby Family Trail Guide is an online resource to help families with children source trails that little legs can hike and parents can feel comfortable with. Hike details are sourced and have been hiked by families who participate in our community. Our contributors do their best to give you all the details they can, but if something is missed, you can reach out to the contributor and offer suggestions for them to add to make it a better trail description for all. This guide was built with a generous 3-year partnership with L.L Bean. Like Hike it Baby, L.L Bean believes that helping get families into nature from birth on is key to healthier, happier communities.
