Dayton State Park is a gallery cottonwood riparian forest along the Carson River. Easy parking, bathrooms, and short trails right at the parking lot for little feet. or carry in a carrier for longer hiking. These pictures are from mid November, best time for yellow fall leaves would be October, careful for rattlesnake in the warmer months carry a walking stick in front of you.
