Downtown Reno River Walk
About This Trail
Our group has hiked the Friday Coffee Walk here since February 2017. We start at the Hub Coffee Roasters (Dorinda’s Chocolate shop is also here), then stroller and or carrier walk on a paved path along the Truckee River to Idlewild Park for playground fun and a return walk back. In the spring and summer there is a kids train for a couple dollars that rides around the pond near the playground.

Trail highlights
Lots of birds on the river and man made lake and ponds, natural play area in the big grass fields and sensory garden adjacent to Idlewild Park, covered shade structure in playground and shaded grass picnic area at playground spring-summer-fall. This is a great place to ride bikes with kid trailers on the however it is along the river so young children not advised to bike if they have limited control.
Fee & Parking Details
The hub Coffee Roasters has a free parking lot (2 hour parking for patrons suggested). There’s free street parking and free parking at Idlewild Park too.
