About This Trail

[Total: 6    Average: 4/5]

Located on Tahoe’s West Shore just off Hwy 89, the hike to Eagle Rock is a .7-mile moderately steep trail with a big payoff! The views from Eagle Rock span across the entire Lake. With its short distance, this hike is great if you are looking for a quick activity to kill some time. This trail offers the chance to see wildlife and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking, bird watching, and snowshoeing. Dogs are also able to use this trail. Highly recommend for toddlers, elderly or those just out to do a quick easy hike and are looking for a great view of the lake. It is rocky, some people do the hike in sandals but would recommend proper hiking shoes!

Hike it Baby Trail Guide is managed by the Family Trail Guide team. If a trail has been “abandoned” by the initial owner, it gets adopted by the team. Also, if there are no trails in the area, the Family Trail Guide team researches trails that are family friendly in the area to insure that hikes cover all areas where Hike it Baby hikes.
