About This Trail

[Total: 6    Average: 4.7/5]

This is a 2-mile flat loop hike. We love it for toddler hikes and slower paced wanders. There are many areas to explore, rocks and trees to climb, water to splash, and animals to spot.

From the NY & NJ Trail Conference: “This hike loops around a lake, formerly known as the Haledon Reservoir, which once served as the water supply for Haledon, North Haledon and Prospect Park. The 75-acre lake and the surrounding land was acquired by the Borough of Franklin Lakes in 2006 and is now known as the Franklin Lakes Nature Preserve.”
