Gold Mine Trail
About This Trail
The trail is located in the Mackinaw River State Fish and Wildlife Area. It is a roughly 2.5 miles long loop. The trails is mostly flat with a few inclines, but nothing a novice can’t do. The trail is about 3 people wide and very well maintained. Partially grassy and partially dirt. Please be aware of hunting seasons.

Trail highlights
You walk past the sunflower dove fields at the beginning of the trail. The rest of the trail is mostly wooded and at one point in borders a creek a little ways.

Parking is at the end of Nelson Road. It is a dead end.
