Heybrook Ridge
About This Trail
This newly built, moderate trail starts from the southwest corner of a large gravel trailhead. It meanders across a creek, then slowly starts to climb up through forest, switchbacking up a hill. While sections are moderately steep, the trail the whole way is fairly wide and smooth, and good for little feet. Towards the top, the grade levels out and the trail crosses a powerline road. The top provides beautiful, open mountain views from a good-sized, flat, child-friendly viewpoint with a bench.

Hike it Baby Trail Guide is managed by the Family Trail Guide team. If a trail has been “abandoned” by the initial owner, it gets adopted by the team. Also, if there are no trails in the area, the Family Trail Guide team researches trails that are family friendly in the area to insure that hikes cover all areas where Hike it Baby hikes.

Getting There
Heading east on Highway 2 up Stevens Pass, make a left on Index Rd. Follow it and shortly the trailhead will be on the right. If you make a left over a bridge into town, you’ve gone too far.
