About This Trail

[Total: 0    Average: 0/5]

Nice off shoot trail from the Hop River State Park trail winds up a rocky path and splits directing hikers thru the woods, across a ridge and down thru the valley (Yellow blazes) or up the short Garnet Trail (Red blazes) to an overlook and a popular painted rock that overlooks the state highway below.

Both hikes are relatively easy but not stroller friendly. Carrier or strong walker only.

Mom of 2 in central CT, I have been a part of HIB since 2015 when I joined the Worcester branch in MA when my first child was still under 1 yr old.  Currently a Branch Ambassador for the Hartford Branch. We enjoy getting out to our favorite weekly HIB spot with friends and going on family hikes on weekends to check out new places in the area.
