Mt Tom Tower Trail
About This Trail
Mt Tom is a perfect place for getting your little ones to dip their toes into a little bit more of a difficult terrain. There are rocks and a pretty steady incline, but a nice surprise awaits you up top!
With being just over a mile, it is sure to be a fun time and one that you will definitely come back to! Mount Tom State Park is one of Connecticut’s oldest state parks. One of 15 created between 1913 and 1918. The stone tower being at the summit of Mount Tom replaced the wooden tower that stood until 1888. The 34 feet tall & 15 feet in diameter stone tower was completed in 1921.

Hike it Baby Trail Guide is managed by the Family Trail Guide team. If a trail has been “abandoned” by the initial owner, it gets adopted by the team. Also, if there are no trails in the area, the Family Trail Guide team researches trails that are family friendly in the area to insure that hikes cover all areas where Hike it Baby hikes.
