I’m Jill, a mom to 3 energetic boys as well as a business owner. We live in Yamhill County, Oregon and I got involved with Hike it Baby in May 2016 as a Branch Ambassador. As a self-employed business consultant, working from home while raising my boys started to feel a bit isolating. Getting connected with my community was important to me and I wanted to get back out in the fresh air more. Even if we get out just once a week it makes a difference and I appreciate having that “unplugged” time. I look forward to getting more families to join me for adventures out on a trail.
I enjoy exploring new trails and rediscovering trails we’ve explored before in new seasons. Personally, I am drawn to any hike involving waterfalls so when I get a chance I am trying to find new ones to explore and find.
During the week most of our hikes are fairly close to home to accommodate our current school and work schedules, but no matter how big or small we like to get outside on adventures. When we have more time we try to sneak a little further from home to explore the coast, Columbia Gorge, Central Oregon or out to the mountains. My husband and I enjoyed hiking before having kids and are now trying to raise our boys to love the outdoors as well, and look forward to many adventures in our future.
