North Park Loop (Joe K's Trail)
About This Trail
Easy 1.3 mile relatively flat trail that’s great for little hikers. One half of the trail follows an old railway through a marshy area that is perfect for creature spotting. The other half of the trail follows the Susquehanna River with several beach-like water access points. No swimming allowed but there are plenty of opportunities for throwing rocks or sea shell hunting. The trail includes several small pedestrian bridges as well as small playground near the trailhead. Trail passes under the Thomas J. Hatem Memorial bridge and near a rail bridge offering picturesque views but also some heavy traffic noise for a brief portion.

Hike it Baby Trail Guide is managed by the Family Trail Guide team. If a trail has been “abandoned” by the initial owner, it gets adopted by the team. Also, if there are no trails in the area, the Family Trail Guide team researches trails that are family friendly in the area to insure that hikes cover all areas where Hike it Baby hikes.
