Preachers Slough Trail, also known as Chehalis River Sloughs Trail, is a 7.2 mile out and back trail. This trail offers signs along the trail that tell the history of how it got it’s name and other interesting facts about the trail. This trail is great for all skill levels. Dogs are allowed on this trail but must be leashed. Since this is considered a State Park, you must have a State Park pass or pay $10 fee to park here.

Trail highlights

Boardwalk, Creek / River, Shaded Hike, Viewpoint, and Wildlife Viewing

Trail is mostly dirt and gravel with some boardwalks over tiny creeks. There is a viewpoint about 1/2 mile in from the Preachers Slough trailhead.

I grew up in the outdoors and am very excited to share this experience with my kids. We are always excited to get outside. I’m a stay at home mom and HiB is a great way for us to get out and interact with other families and get out in nature.
