About This Trail

[Total: 0    Average: 0/5]

The 1-mile paved path at Roper Mountain Science Center is open to the public during daylight hours when the center’s main gate is open.  Along the way, you will pass by a music station, tree house, dinosaur statue, butterfly garden, and pond.  The highlight of the trail is the large natural play area on the back side of the pond.  Make time to spend at least an hour enjoying all there is to play with there.

When you enter the gate, you will soon pass several large parking lots on your right.  Park in the furthest of these lots, where the curbs are painted red or blue.  The trail starts behind the ticket booth.

Natural Play Area, Playground, and Shaded Hike

All the wonderful play areas along the way make this a slow-paced walk. This is a great spot for a toddler-led stroll.

I joined Hike it Baby in 2014 when my son was just 2 months old.  A year later, I became an Ambassador for the Greenville, SC branch.  I love raising my kids on the trail and meeting so many like-minded families!
