Sky Art Sculptures at Galleta Meadows
About This Trail
The metal Sky Art sculptures at Galleta Meadows is such a unique experience that definitely is a must-see if visiting the area. Throughout Borrego Springs dozens of unique metal sculptures are scattered around the desert! They are all many miles apart, but are usually gathered in groups. You can drive to each location and then get out of your car and walk around to explore the sculptures, or you could stay in your car and drive up to the sculptures, or a mixture of both! You have to drive on dirt roads to get close to most of the statues, but as long as you drive carefully you should be able to make it in any vehicle. The road to the dinosaurs is the longest and most difficult, so if your car is particularly small you might want to skip those or walk to them. There are no bathrooms near the sculptures, but it is close to town.
The location pin is at the sea serpent, since that sculpture is the most popular. Make sure to check the map below for up to date locations of all the statures, because half the fun is just finding them!
