About This Trail

[Total: 2    Average: 5/5]

Begin at the small  pond / wet boggy area near the parking area and look to right for a mowed path leading up a short steep hill.  The majority of the trail is rolling hills of waving grasses & short clips through forested areas. Easy to manage with small children and a carrier, this is an easy going enjoyable hike. Bring snacks or a picnic to eat along the way. Please stay to the path to preserve the grasses.

I’m Trish & my hiking partners are my three children. Our favorite hiking spot is currently the upper & lower meadows at Monticello, just beautiful on a winter day! We also love Sugar Hollow and all parts of Shenandoah. We’re originally from northern Virginia & we’ve lived in Charlottesville since 2016.
