About This Trail
Washoe Lake Wildlife Trail is a 2.2 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near Washoe Valley, Nevada that features a lake and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, nature trips, and birding and is best used from May until November. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash. This trail is best in the earlier hours of the day ( the wind and bugs hit in the afternoon).

This trail is a cool area to view local wildlife. Birds. Horses. Cows. There is a lake, but this trail does not give you access to it. This trail also features a viewing bridge to view wildlife at a safe distance.

Getting There
From Carson City, Nevada: Drive north on 580. Exit on Eastlake Blvd (exit #44) and turn right. The parking area will be on the left hand side after driving 1.2 miles.
