Watchung Reservation - Orange Loop
About This Trail
The orange trail is one of many trails in the Watchung Reservation, and is very child friendly. Orange trail is a loop that is approximately 0.8 miles from the parking lot.
The trail is narrow at a few parts. I suggest long pants to protect your legs on the narrow sections. There is also one very short but steep climb about halfway into the loop. You will cross 2 bridges over a creek along the loop. My kids love to stop here and splash in the creek for a few minutes when we hike.
There are numerous other trails in the Watchung Reservation. The orange trail intersects the blue, white, and yellow trails. So follow the trail markers closely to stay on orange.
