This is a quiet little wetland right off a main road in Federal Way. Near the trailhead, the land is open and parklike. The path turns into a boardwalk after about 1/4 mile. Interpretive signs can found periodically along the trail with information about what flora and fauna surrounds the boardwalk.

Trail highlights

Lake, Mud Puddles, Viewpoint, and Wildlife Viewing

During the fall/winter seasons this boardwalk is EXTREMELY slippery when wet in some spots. some fo the boardwalk has handrails but for most of it there are no side rails so be cautious with little walkers. During the spring there are lots of blackberries along the beginning part of the trail to snack on.
